Dimensional Paper Sculptures - Veska Abad

I spotted this colorful paper bead sculpture on CraftGawker, admired it, and was off to investigate further... it was created by Veska Abad of Abadova.


Veska is a freelance illustrator and graphic artist in Nice, France who describes herself as one who has rediscovered the joy of making things by hand.

She enjoys experimenting with different materials, colors, and techniques - paper sculpture, altered books, paper cutting, and ceramic mosaics - and feels that if one doesn't enjoy making an art piece, it has no worth.


As for the work in her Etsy shop, Veska says each decorative item has been made with pleasure. I believe her!


She is currently planning her first exhibition for this autumn. I would love to see her imaginative and playful work in person.
