The store, just off Rittenhouse Square in center city, is located in a beautiful old mansion with four floors of merchandise. They don't build 'em like this anymore definitely holds true at this location!
From ornate stonework outside to an amazing ceiling and wide crown molding inside, it's a feast for the eyes. There were pretty things to see in every direction... leafy shapes cut from lightweight metallic paper festooned large hanging structures.
My favorite display was this one... embroidery hoops filled with all sorts of gold and white decorative papers and perhaps some fabric too.
As we were leaving, I caught a glimpse of the windows from outside. The deep sills were snowy landing pads for festive carousel animals.
A polar bear and reindeer were displayed against cut paper backgrounds. Their bodies appeared to be made of paper maché.
And to all a good night.
