10 Fresh and Appealing Papercraft Kits

It's been a full year since I last rounded up a collection of tempting papercraft kits, so let's have a look at my latest finds.

This Deluxe Bookbinding Kit from LearnBookbinding is a beauty. A Bestseller, it has been curated by a professional bookbinder and contains everything needed to get started. Because the tools are such high quality, you'll be able to use them again and again. The kit ships for free from the UK.

 

 

Here's a cute shamrock kit for St. Patrick's Day celebrators... and perfect for those who are new to origami. Shop owner Mel Mello of BeeMelloFlowers recommends it for ages 10 and up; it ships for free from New Jersey. Mel also lists several other very nice looking kits, as well as finished origami items.

 

 

 

I got a chuckle out of the name of this Stampin' UP! card making kit from stampsANDsupplies... it's called Seriously the Best Project Kit. While stamps are not included in this particular kit (others are listed that do contain stamps), it contains lots of cards, envelopes, embellishments, etc. in a coordinating box. Shop owner Kristopher Legits will ship it for free from Albuquerque, New Mexico.

 

 

 

He also sells intriguing Mystery Boxes in three sizes that are chock full of paper, dies, stamps, punches, cardstock, and more that customers rave about in reviews.

 

René Williams of 4thStreetStudios in Laramie, Wyoming offers an array of beautiful suminagashi Japanese paper marbling kits, paint pour, bookbinding, and glass fusing kits. This marbling kit is an Etsy Bestseller and contains enough paper for 16 pieces of artwork plus ink for many more.

I'm a longtime fan of kits from Linda's PaperPhine paper twine shop that is located in Vienna, Austria. Learn to make richly colored knotted bracelets or necklaces... but first, have fun choosing your favorite three colors of twine. There are also really nice kits for knit bangles and friendship bracelets.

 

 

LPobject in Bangkok, Thailand offers soooo many lowpoly animal downloads for those who enjoy folding, gluing, and assembling. This pair of cats is pretty darn cute. While they're digital printables, not actual kits, quite a few of the designs caught my eye... I can't help but share due to the shop's multiple five star reviews.

 

 

Shop owners Katie Bergin and Rachel Bath of BerginandBath in Berkhamsted, UK offer many craft kits. There are several very pretty kinds of flower making kits that contain quality Italian crepe paper and other necessities. Pictured here is the Peony Kit to help tide us over until it's true peony season.

 

 

 

This Paper Bugs Kit from Etsy shop Pappet looks like a fun one for tweens and up. It ships free from Cambridge, England and contains five colorful, dimensional bugs to shape and glue. I'm thinking they might be a fun activity at boys' birthday parties. If insects aren't your thing, there are many other choices - some as kits and some as printables.

Here's a beautiful Cyanotype Kit from PaperfulShop that is an Etsy Bestseller. In addition, a variety of stencil sets are available (here is just one of the options), as is a complete Cyanotype Course. The shop owner, Antonio Linares Román, ships all options for free from Spain. 

 

 

 

Lastly, and because it's still quite early in the new year, I'll include this clever 2024 Pop-up Menagerie Calendar Kit from prismofstarlings. The animals are ready to be cut out and popped up for display. Kirsty Baynham in Edinburgh, Scotland is the shop owner/artist who offers a variety of captivating kits, cards, notebooks, paper decorations, and more... do have a look around her shop. I just love the colors in this wrapping paper with matching tags.
