Interview with Popular Quilling Artist Yulia Brodskaya

Many quillers are familiar with the incredibly beautiful work of Russian-born paper artist and graphic designer, Yulia Brodskaya. Perhaps like me, you've been hungry to hear her thoughts on quilling - for example, how she plans and executes her perfect, flowing designs.

I recently came across a link to this interesting Yulia Brodskaya interview that she did with Storey Publishing. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did.

I think it's fantastic that Yulia's designs are bringing well-deserved attention to quilling - truly something to...

Now if only there was some way to include these little words underneath each print ad:

If you are wondering what this fabulous paper art is called, it's quilling!

  5. Thank you for unearthing this, Ann! I've been wondering about Yulia since I first featured her work on Folding Trees months ago, but never found much information about her. And it's lovely to see some more of her beautiful work - it never disappoints.

  7. I have been following your blog for quite a while now. Right now I am in London for studying and I am more than ever interested in design, paper and crafting because I do book arts and design. I don't know if you can help me, but how did you got started with this technique? Did you do a course or is there any good literature about it? Do you anything about ressource pages for paper and tools?
You would be a major help for me. Thank you already for any thoughts you spend on my question.
Have a wonderful day and thank you for the wonderful blog inspirations!
