Folded Book - Peace

Stephanie Pounds of Texas has always loved books and is an avid reader. Earlier this year though, her world shifted a bit when she came across Lisa Occhipinti's book The Repurposed Library. The whole idea of cutting up a book was completely foreign territory to Stephanie, a librarian's daughter, but one project led to the next and soon she was defacing (discarded) property with the best of 'em!

Folded Book - Peace

It isn't often that you see altered book words done in cursive lettering, but within a few short months Stephanie mastered a unique method. She also creates even more unusual designs between two covers... I promise I'll be back right after Christmas with lots more pictures and an interview with Stephanie [here it is] in which she talks about her new found passion and shares tips for book page folding.

And since it is the season of peace, it's only appropriate to end this post with my sincere wish to all of you for peaceful and happy holidays. Merry Christmas!
