Paper Crafting Tutorials from A Piece of Rainbow

Ananda of the blog A Piece of Rainbow is one of those versatile makers who frequently shares stylish and useful projects in doable steps. You might remember her tiny house luminaries I included in a miniature houses round up before Christmas. With spring arriving tomorrow - yay! - it's a good time to highlight Ananda's projects that are perfect for warm weather, starting with this clever cardboard furniture that can be folded up when it's time to call it a day.

Ananda and I have corresponded a few times about various projects, and I was interested to learn she is a landscape architect who would very much like to turn her creative talents and enjoyment of teaching/writing into a full-time career. I can definitely see this happening as she is brimming with ideas.

Ananda graduated with a MFA degree and an ambition to work outside, which led to her current focus on green landscape design. She has been sharing actual plant-related projects on her blog in recent weeks so be sure to check them out if you're into gardening. But some floral DIYs are of the watercolor variety...

...and this poppy tutorial makes use of crepe paper and paint, plus a neat way to make stamens.

Last, but definitely not least because there are many how-tos on Ananda's site, a pretty set of cut paper lanterns that would be just right for an outdoor party.
