Vacation Vibes Paper Jewelry from Monday Morning Press

The newest Monday Morning Press collection of paper jewelry has dropped. It's called Vacation Vibes and ohhhh yes, the vivid colors and array of shapes and sizes truly speak to summer fun!

 

If you happen to be reading this post in the distant future, no worries about missing out because each month and sometimes even in-between, Natalie Monday launches brand new collections with seasonal color palettes and themes.

 

 

If you haven't already been introduced to Natalie via my previous posts about her jewelry (see here and here), she has a degree in Architecture from Virginia Tech and worked in a design firm before opening Monday Morning Press in 2019. 

 

Now she and three assistants work from her home studio to create a popular selection of wearable art jewelry that is made with layers of card stock, chipboard, and paper. Natalie is also a letterpress wedding stationer and sometimes carries over her love of textured paper to the sturdy stock that she prints on her 115 year old treadle-operated letterpress. 

Never fear, the jewelry is surprisingly durable. Also, moisture protection is provided by a matte-finish coating. Of course never expose paper jewelry to a drenching, but they'll stand up to a drizzly day or a light pool splash.... just don't forget that you're wearing them and jump in! And if you do, it's because they're so lightweight you'll forget you're wearing jewelry at all. 

Even the largest styles are kind to earlobes and there are some big ones... the largest hoops measure 3" in diameter, yet there are also small styles, like these cute summer fruit slice studs that are just 5/8".

 

Other niceties: earring backs are finished, the metal findings are nickel-free, and if you don't have pierced ears, any style with a 5/8" top on posts can be converted to clip-ons.

An active presence on Instagram has helped Natalie grow her business by leaps and bounds. I always enjoy her live Stories in which she models the latest collection.
