Durability and Quality Control
It is worth noting that while quilling looks quite delicate, this work is definitely sturdy. The coils are densely rolled and travel remarkably well through the mail. I know this for certain because I mailed a card in December that was lost by the USPS, and when it finally arrived at its destination earlier this month (April!), the quilling was still in pristine condition.

Something else I marvel over is that the quilling on every card of the same design is identical, and there are no stray glue marks. In other words, quality control is excellent.
