Craftsy Online Class Giveaway: Quilled and Sculpted Cards AND a Threesome Pumpkin Freebie

Congratulations to KatheD, giveaway recipient!

I have lots of fun things to share with you... for starters, this trio of free-dimensional (ha, get it?!) paper pumpkins to launch your Halloween/Thanksgiving decorating. They're easy enough to make in an evening, either by hand or with a cutting machine. Also, I'll introduce a new and excellent paper crafting class... read on for all the details.

3D Paper Pumpkins DIY

Cecelia Louie is a paper artist and graphic designer whose work I've long admired. She recently filmed an e-class for creative powerhouse Craftsy... the title is Quilled and Sculpted Cards. Cecelia walks you step-by-step through the making of a variety of pretty cards and dimensional paper projects.

Quilled and Sculpted Cards Craftsy Class

I've had a chance to view the class, and just as expected, found Cecelia's creativity and attention to detail to be nothing short of remarkable. Not only that, but seeing her manipulate paper is a relaxing, zen-like experience... it's no wonder her website and Etsy shop are named Paper Zen! You'll learn Cecelia's uniquely airy quilling method, layering and sculpting techniques that add dimension to die cuts, and how to make stylish crepe paper anemones, and paper daisies and roses to use on many types of cards and frames... seven lessons in all; each runs about 20 minutes.

Cecelia Louie - Craftsy Instructor

There's no question that watching someone who is actually hands-on with paper is the ideal way to learn. With Cecelia's guidance, you'll be making replicas of her designs in no time. Please note that most of the lessons utilize a die cut machine, such as a Cricut or Silhouette. That said, if you don't have a machine and are mainly interested in learning to quill, this class would still be a great way to learn from a pro.

Paper Daisy Lesson

With many new techniques under your belt, you're bound to experience increased confidence in your paper crafting and designing abilities.

Perhaps you feel all thumbs when it comes to gluing quilled scrolls in place? You'll see exactly how to achieve perfect results.

Quilling Lesson

Do you love the look of quilled snowflakes, but struggle to make them nicely balanced? Never fear... Cecelia's printable grid to the rescue.

Quilled Snowflake Grid

And now... about the lovely giveaways! Craftsy is offering one lucky ATP reader the chance to own Cecelia's class, Quilled and Sculpted Cards.
(It retails at $29.99, but is on sale for $19.99, a 33% savings.)

To enter for a chance to win, leave a comment below along with a way to be contacted and/or enter by following @allthingspaper on Instagram and liking the giveaway photo.

Quilled Heart Tag

The giveaway will conclude at the end of Wednesday, October 7. The winner will be announced on this post and on Instagram as soon as she/he has been notified.

For two extra chances to win Cecelia's class, visit Under a Cherry Tree and Michelle My Belle Creations, as both Jin and Michelle have giveaways underway too.

Paper Sculpture Owl Card

But wait, there's more! (Forgive me, I don't mean to sound like an infomercial... it's just that I'm especially excited about this next part. :))

DIY Paper Pumpkin Threesome

Because not everyone will be able to win a free class, thoughtful Cecelia has designed a threesome (as in awesome) set of die cut pumpkin patterns that are free and have no end date. A special feature of the set is that they can be cut by machine OR by hand, so even if you don't own a die cut machine, you'll be able to join in the fun.

Click this tall pumpkin link to download PDF step-by-step directions with photos and cutting pattern. Visit Jin's blog to collect the round pumpkin pattern and Michelle's for the wide pumpkin pattern.

DIY Paper Pumpkin - Tall

You'll notice that the pumpkins are similar in technique to the Christmas tree card with Hershey's Kiss favor that is included in Cecelia's class. This was intentional as they serve as nice examples of the detailed way you'll learn during each class segment.

Dimensional Paper Tree

Craftsy offers a happiness guarantee on all of their classes - 100% satisfaction or a refund within 30 days of purchase. In addition, Cecelia is always available to answer questions from class participants.

I took her class as soon as it was offered and have made a coupe of the items already. The class is so perfect but it is the teacher that makes it so! Cecilia is very precise in the directions and I so appreciate that as a senior citizen that needs details to see the picture. There are many closeups that really make the learning easy.
I don't need to win but I do want to endorse Cecilia's teaching abilities/
Thanks

Previously, quilling had looked so very complicated. The examples from the class give me the belief that I could actually create these designs. I appreciate the opportunity to enter the contest to win this class. Thank You!

I love those quilled cards! I enjoy quilling, but have found symmetry to be problematic, so that snowflake printable grid would be extremely helpful! Thanks for the opportunity for the class. ~ Lisa @ surf2it@aol.com
